Mosquitos
Every summer, hordes of mosquitos descend on backyards, bbq, beaches, parks and campgrounds. While most mosquitoes are merely nuisances, some can transmit serious diseases such as West Nile disease and the Zika virus, encephalitis and malaria in humans, and heartworm disease in dogs. We have products to reduce mosquito populations on your property so you can enjoy your property and reduce the risk of mosquito-borne illnesses for you and your pets, especially with the expected heavy mosquito season this year and the spread of the Zika virus.
The Zika virus is known to spread through mosquito bites, specifically, infected Aedes genus mosquitoes. These are the same mosquito species that carries dengue fever and chikungunya. While Aedes aegypti mosquitoes are the primary carriers, Aedes albopictus mosquitoes, also known as the Asian tiger mosquito, might also be transmitting the virus. Since Asian tiger mosquitoes are plentiful in many areas in the US, in early spring, summer and fall, there could be a risk of local Zika virus transmission in the future.
We have a wide range of mosquito repellents and deterrents.
